For May’s roll of Kentmere 100 in the Frugal film Project, it was day out.. at home, Bangor Co Down. I like to travel but 15 minutes walk from the house, the British and Irish Pipe Band Championships were taking place. It was a Saturday morning, the sun was shining and there was no football on. I took the Nikon F60 with the 50mm/1.8 and the 70-210 zoom and went in search of pipers and drummers, kilts and sporrans.

Two things of notes for me (as well as actually enjoying the music and performances and appreciating the effort and work involved in pipe bands) – the Kentmere’s range of tones in bright weather (super for a £4.50 roll of film) and the detail you get from the Nikon 70-210 zoom which was a recent MPB purchase. Must keep an eye out for a Nikkor 28mm…
