Shopping in Athens. I hate shopping per se, but when travelling and seeking out tourist tat on a budget, it can become something of a cultural event. Athens is almost made for this. You can buy anything with the Athens eye on it, philosopher playing cards, orthodox oddities, parthenon pens, hats, caps and traditional made-in-China Greek clobber.
The Orthodox Church also gets on on the act.
Of course the main attraction of tourist shopping is the footie store. I bought t-shirts. Several.
